In brief: You can use Today and all Guides without an account. BondSeed does not ask for or save a child profile, a child’s answers, private family notes, relationship scores, or free-text descriptions of family situations.
1. Scope
This Policy explains how BondSeed handles information when you use https://www.bondseed.com, create an account, save content, or purchase course access. BondSeed is intended for adult parents and caregivers, not for children to use independently.
2. Information stored in your browser
Without signing in, your browser can store a default age band, saved Talk identifiers, saved Guide identifiers, and up to six recent Talk identifiers with dates. This uses local storage on your device. It lets the core experience work without an account and is not sent to BondSeed unless you later sign in and choose to use account sync.
Your analytics preference is also stored locally. Necessary browser storage does not contain a child’s name, answer, or free-text description.
3. Account and saved activity
If you create an account, we process your name, email address, authentication status, optional profile image supplied by a sign-in provider, session information, and security-related request information such as IP address and user agent. Authentication is provided through Better Auth and the sign-in options shown on the site.
After sign-in, BondSeed merges and syncs only your default age band, saved Talk IDs, saved Guide slugs, recent Talk IDs and dates, and course-access status. You can clear this saved activity from your Profile. Clearing saved activity does not itself delete the login account or legally required purchase records; contact us to request account deletion.
4. Payments
Creem processes course purchases as our payment and merchant-of-record provider. Creem collects the checkout and payment information it needs to process the transaction. BondSeed receives and stores order status and transaction records such as product, checkout, order, customer, request, and payment identifiers, and may receive the purchaser email and the associated webhook record. BondSeed does not store full payment-card details.
Review Creem’s Privacy Notice for its handling of buyer and payment data.
5. Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Google Analytics may collect page and interaction events, browser and device information, approximate location derived from network information, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies such as _ga. Clarity may collect page URLs, clicks, scrolling and other interface interactions, browser and device information, approximate location, session recordings, heatmaps, and identifiers stored in cookies such as _clck and _clsk.
BondSeed uses these tools to understand page usefulness and usability problems. Product events and analytics must not contain email addresses, child answers, private notes, or other free text. Clarity is configured for analytics consent without advertising-storage consent.
If you choose “Only necessary,” neither analytics tag loads. You can reopen the choice below. Changing from allowed to necessary asks Clarity to withdraw consent, removes BondSeed’s accessible Google Analytics and Clarity cookies, and reloads the page; browser or network controls may offer additional choices.
6. Hosting, security, and service providers
BondSeed uses Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site, including Turnstile checks on authentication forms; a managed PostgreSQL service for account and purchase records; Better Auth for authentication; Creem for payment processing; and Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity only with permission. These providers may process routine network, device, security, account, analytics, or transaction information as needed to provide their services.
7. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, saved-item sync, recent Talks, age preferences, and course access.
- Process purchases, maintain transaction records, and answer support requests.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and meet legal obligations.
- Measure page and feature usefulness when analytics permission has been given.
Depending on your location and the activity, processing may rely on performing a contract, your consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as security and service reliability. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it.
8. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not build advertising profiles from a child’s behavior.
- We do not currently display advertising on Today or Guide pages.
- We do not ask users to submit child answers, child profiles, relationship ratings, or private journals.
9. Retention
Browser-only preferences remain until you clear site data or use BondSeed’s clear controls. Account and saved-activity data are kept while needed to provide the account and for a reasonable period for security, recovery, or legal obligations. Purchase and accounting records may be retained for periods required by payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and consumer-protection rules. Analytics retention is controlled through our Google Analytics settings.
10. International processing and security
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may clear saved activity in Profile, manage analytics above, or contact us for an account or privacy request. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
12. Children’s privacy
BondSeed content discusses parenting, but the account service is directed to adults. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to BondSeed, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the product or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision. For privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, email privacy@bondseed.com. Please do not include a child’s sensitive details unless strictly necessary for the request.
This Policy describes BondSeed’s current product and practices. It is general information, not legal advice.
