Why BondSeed exists
You may want to hear about your child's day and get only “fine.” A disagreement about screens may leave both of you angry. After raising your voice, you may know you want to apologize but struggle to find the words. BondSeed focuses on these recognizable moments and the small choices a parent can make next.
The aim is to make useful communication ideas easier to put into practice: ask a manageable question, listen before offering advice, explain a limit clearly, or return to a conversation that went badly. A short exchange can be enough. Your child can also prefer quiet or choose another time.
The name behind the project
BondSeed is the publishing name for this independently maintained project. Its focus is everyday parent-child communication. The name reflects the idea that connection can grow through small, ordinary moments of attention, listening, and repair.
Choose the help you need
- Tools groups free parenting tools into nine situations, from praise and listening to limits, conflict repair, and time together. Open a toolbox map, choose a tool, and use its instructions, age-specific examples, and editable printable worksheet. All tools and templates are free without an account.
- Today offers a free daily conversation starter, a brief preparation, and suggestions for what to do with the response. Choose language for ages 6–12 or 13–18.
- Guides give free, complete help with a specific situation, such as school check-ins, sibling conflict, privacy, or apologizing after an argument. Each offers concrete steps and example language.
- The Course brings explanation and practice together across nine communication skills, with the same free tools embedded in the relevant chapters. Chapter 1 is a complete free preview. A one-time lifetime purchase unlocks Chapters 2–9 and future updates to this course.
- The free printable gives you an after-school conversation resource to use away from a screen.
Use the words as a starting point
Read a resource first, then put the screen aside when you talk. Adapt the wording to your family's language, culture, circumstances, and your child's needs. The age bands help you choose an opening; they cannot tell you exactly what any individual child needs.
Example conversations and suggested phrases are illustrations to adapt. They are not records of particular families or evidence that a sentence will produce a certain response. A child's short answer, disagreement, or wish to stop is part of the conversation, too.
Reference reading and scope
Guides link to public reference reading so you can check the guidance behind a recommendation. These references include pediatric, public-health, government, and university resources. The Sources page provides more context about those public references. A reference supports the relevant principle; it does not validate every suggested phrase or make an article individualized professional advice.
BondSeed provides general education about communication. It does not offer diagnosis, therapy, medical treatment, or emergency support. Persistent distress, abuse, or concerns about a child's safety need qualified local support. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Your family's privacy
You can use Tools, templates, Today, and Guides without an account. Worksheet entries stay in your browser tab; they are not sent to BondSeed or saved to your account. Download or print your entries before leaving the page. An optional account can sync saved resources, recent Talks, an age-band preference, and course access. Using BondSeed does not require a child profile, a private journal, or a record of what your child says. Read the Privacy Policy for details about site and account data.
